Your new role

• Ensure that all ingredients are of the required quality standard
• Ensure all records are kept where required
• Ensure that each product is made according to the appropriate recipe
• Liaise with the Production Leading Hand, Production Supervisor, to ensure that finished products are correctly labelled and positioned.
• Ensure that the mixing, packing and ingredients are weighed and the products in your particular area are kept as clean as possible, and that particular attention is paid to having the area clean at the end of the shift.
• Ensure that any equipment is operated in a careful and appropriate manner so as to minimise wear and damage
• Ensure that equipment is adjusted, cleaned and lubricated as required
• Ensure packing, weighing, sewing, palletising and forklift driving is carried out at the highest possible level
• Report any existing or likely problems that may compromise personal or product safety or standards
• To actively participate in any training and suitable to the above-stated positions
• To actively cooperate with all other personnel at the mill site so as to promote the development of an efficient and friendly working environment
• Assist in all areas as required, ensuring that work is performed as directed
• To train a Delegate to manage effectively the full range of personal responsibilities associated with this position
• Work flexibly as part of a team, adapting your role
• Ensure Delegation is instituted and effective for this Position, and for all other Positions for which this Position is responsible
• Continuously improve the business by constant evaluation of the efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility of business systems, processes and products that your role encompasses
• In particular, to maintain close supervision of all areas that involves direct customer contact. This is to ensure that appropriate standards are maintained and improved so that customers receive the highest possible levels of quality, service and support.

What you'll need to succeed

• Forklift Licence is desirable
