The Opportunity
Linx Cargo Care is seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant and Equipment Operator to join the Newcastle team. Based at our Kooragang Island operation, our Mobile Plant and Equipment Operator will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations relating to the in-loading, material handling and out-loading of bulk commodities, in this is a true diverse role where no two days are the same!
About the Position
The Mobile Plant and Equipment Operator will be responsible for but not limited to the below duties-
- Daily Operation of in-loading, material handling and out-loading of bulk commodities.
- Container handling, Fit outs and packing.
- The safe and efficient operation of Front-end loaders, Forklifts, Skid Steers, Sweepers, Weighbridge and fertiliser toll-processing plant operations.
- Manual handling, lifting, sweeping, shoveling duties as required during in-loading, out-landing and material handling.
- Be flexible in your approach and willing to do ADHOC duties as required
- Assist in maintenance duties including general plant maintenance, processing Plant and site maintenance including lawn mowing and general site housekeeping.
- Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Adhere to Linx safety standards and values at all times.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance Linxcc policies and procedures.
About Your Experience
- Experience in other related heavy industry, mining, agriculture etc.
- Hold a valid Tickets including FEL, Skid Steer and Forklift.
- Hold a valid Licence (MC or HC desirable)
- Able to maintain a clean and tidy workshop and work area.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong focus on safety.
- Able to pass a Pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen.
- Available to work 12-hour shifts (as required).
