We are currently looking for a Team Leader for our Mobile Workforce team. This team performs a variety of outdoor maintenance activities. Including roadside slashing, mowing of required areas, fire break maintenance, weed management, roadside litter collection, sign replacement, minor road patching and drainage maintenance to Council's Road Reserves and properties.
This role would suit someone with strong leadership skills and a desire to lead from the front. The ability to plan and adapt and re-organise priorities is a critical part of this role. You're experienced with preparing rosters and workplans and pride yourself on your adaptability.
In addition, Trade experience in a mechanical related industry will be beneficial as you will carry out a mid-level range of mechanical repairs and maintenance jobs on Council equipment in the field.
Other skills that would be highly valued include:
- A current MR Class driver's licence to operate various plant and equipment.
- Traffic management certificates
- Previous advanced experience in operation of tractors, slashers, and equipment
- Chemical handling certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Tractor and chainsaw competency
