Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned housekeeper with exceptional attention to detail, endurance, and interpersonal skills to join our team working with a respected local not-for-profit organisation in Port Macquarie, NSW.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
Your responsibilities will include the cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, common areas, and laundry rooms; ensuring all rooms meet high standards of cleanliness. You will also be restocking supplies and liaising with reception and management regarding maintenance and room turnovers. The position demands a commitment to professional conduct and adherence to safety procedures whilst creating a positive environment for our guests.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Kitchens:
Wash and inspect crockery, clean cupboards, refrigerators, and surfaces, and empty rubbish bins.
Bathrooms:
Thoroughly clean showers, toilets, vanities, and windowsills, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
Main Rooms:
Clean and tidy tables, bedside areas, and windowsills, replace used linen, and maintain room amenities.
Common Rooms:
Clean surfaces, stovetops, and ovens, handle dirty dishes, and ensure cleanliness.
Laundries:
Clean all surfaces, empty bins, and maintain laundry equipment.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure rooms meet high cleaning standards, restock linen and cleaning supplies, and uphold safety protocols.
Stock Control:
Monitor linen and consumable stock levels and maintain organized linen rooms.
Communication:
Collaborate with receptionists and managers on maintenance and room status.
Key Challenges:
Deliver consistent and accurate cleaning in a high-volume and dynamic environment.
