Pirtek Melbourne Central is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work to join their team as a Motor Mechanic - Mobile Service Technician.  As a Mobile Service Technician you will be expected to deliver consistent, accurate, high quality field service and repairing of plant and machinery to our customers.  The job will challenge you to provide solutions and build relationships with a varying range of customers.  This is a hands on role where there is travel to sites within Melbourne Metropolitan and surrounding areas, to replace mechanical components in a breakdown situation or complete new installation work on a variety of machinery.  Our role is best suited to applicants who reside near with 30 kilometers of the Melbourne Metropolitan area and must be available for overtime as well as participating in a 24 hour on call roster.

Strong consideration will be given to applicants who show evidence of the following;

  • Minimum 2 years experience.
  • Trade qualified with previous experience working with industrial and mechanical equipment.
  • Have a strong understanding of customer service.
  • Be able to operate machinery, use tools and precision measuring devices.
  • Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience replacing, servicing, and repairing mechanical components.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience with hose, fittings and tube work.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Have a strong work ethic and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritise workload.
  • Good numeracy, verbal and written skills
  • Understand OHS and Safe Work Practices
  • Current Manual Driver's License.
  • Flexibility with working hours, as afterhours availability is a pre-requisite.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

The position comes with a fully maintained service vehicle.

Complete product and on the job training will be provided.
