We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill this PT role of Motorsport Integrity Coordinator. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing Motorsport Australia's obligations as a National Sporting Organisation within the Sport Integrity framework. Your duties will also include managing alcohol and illicit drug testing programs, as well as addressing other integrity concerns and member complaints within the Motorsport community.
About Us
We are a passionate team focused on the development, regulation, promotion and administration of motorsport across Australia. As the National Sporting Authority and custodian of four wheeled motorsport in this country, we are a dedicated, talented and collaborative team committed to doing what is best for the sport.
About the Role
The Motorsport Integrity Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulations and acceptable behaviour within the sport, handling complaints and disputes amongst affiliated car clubs and members, and overseeing the alcohol and illicit drug testing program. This entails maintaining comprehensive records of complaints, managing the resolution process in line with our policies and judicial processes, and liaising with stakeholders such as Sport Integrity Australia for policy development and education initiatives. Additionally, the Coordinator will contribute to the formulation and implementation of integrity policies, guidelines, and processes, while providing guidance to members and organisations on integrity matters.
Together with Motorsport Australia General Counsel, this role will offer leadership and support to address alleged rule violations, assist in embedding safeguarding policies across the sport, and facilitate education efforts with engaging content and programs. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborating internally to develop effective safeguarding resources will also be key responsibilities. Overall, the role requires a proactive approach to ensuring the integrity and safeguarding practices are upheld.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications in Sports Management, Business, or equivalent, along with high-level interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective relationships. You will have worked in a similar role previously and enjoy this type of work. Strong organisation, planning, and analytical abilities are also vital, as is proficiency in report writing. Desirable attributes include experience, knowledge, or interest in Motorsport, as well as a background in working with volunteers, member-based organisations, or within the sports industry. Exposure to events or high-risk environments would also be beneficial for this role.
Candidates who meet these qualifications and possess the desired experiences will be well-equipped to excel in managing the integrity and safeguarding aspects of Motorsport Australia, contributing to the organisation's commitment to upholding high standards of conduct and safety within the sport.
