What you will be doing
Core Capabilities (50% of role)
As our MuleSoft Capability Lead, you will lead and define best practice (tools and processes) for your capability area. Here the expectation centers on driving improvement in the capability area in relation to its maturity across key processes/methods/IP as well as maturation of our use of technology to underpin automation and scaling of our operation.
You will define the requisite skills/experiences/competencies for your capability area. Regularly assess and reevaluate the requirements for core capability uplift within your focus area (i.e. position descriptions, skill requirements, development/training needs, coaching/mentoring match ups).
Support demand management and workforce planning activities for your capability area. Proactively working with the business, you’ll ensure that new/existing demand management activities support the development and availability of the resource pool to support projects (including final say
and overseeing hiring). Work with resource managers to match the right team to the right client/opportunity to deliver maximum outcomes while reducing risk.
Design the governance processes for your capability area. Work to define the requisite review and assurance processes that will produce high quality deliverables/outcomes while being efficient and reduce risk to our business and our clients.
Evangelise practice excellence externally for your capability area. Externally work to proactively promote the business and your area of expertise within the Salesforce community, within DXC, our customers and promote awareness of DXC MuleSoft capability externally. Continually develop your area of expertise and become a thought leader in your capability area.
As our MuleSoft Capability lead you will also actively put into practice your deep level of understanding and experience to deliver key client engagements. Lead through example and demonstrate thought leadership to deliver exception client outcomes. Your target for Delivery Engagements should be 40% billable)
Other role based responsibilities (50% of role)
Lead/Support Pre-Sales activities and pursuits for your capability area (as well as the practice). Work with the business and Sales team to prosecute opportunities that will meet our industry/market focus areas, deepen our capability, while supporting the renewal/growth of our existing/new clients.
The skills you will bring
  • Exceptional leader with ability to motivate teams, build strong capabilities and develop talent as well as performance management, career development and coaching/mentoring
  • 7+ years' experience working with MuleSoft
  • Expert at developing and using capability/skills, IP, development tools, methodologies and frameworks
  • Able to work in an agile team environment, effectively partnering with other departments and groups to deliver outcomes
  • High level understanding of application's design concepts, architecture, tools and system environment and business use
  • Ability to work with the business representatives in the development of complex business system requirements and associated implementation plans
  • Ability to evaluate opportunities and solution outcomes to meet commercial and client business outcomes
  • Proven problem resolution, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to successfully and efficiently manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
  • Can easily adapt to new technology
  • Clearly communicates ideas in a variety of formats (verbal, written)
  • Has a customer service mindset with an appropriate level of flexibility-understanding the needs of internal customers and using good judgment to make the best business decisions while maintaining positive relationships
