We offer complete end-to-end property development services including water infrastructure, livestock infrastructure earthworks services and vegetation management. We are a diverse team, with extensive experience in large scale agricultural and pastoral projects.
The Opportunity
DevelopAg is presently seeking a Machine Operator to join our team (immediate start available). In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, care, and maintenance of our fleet of modern earthmoving plant, heavy vehicles and farming equipment, including but not limited to:
- Dozer, CAT D6N - PAT blade – general earthworks, stick raking, erosion control, clearing fence lines, ripping, and pipe laying.
- Excavators, 2.5t, 5.5t, 13t and 21t – general earthworks, trenching, loading trucks, backfilling.
- Tractor – slashing, ripping, pipe laying, front end loader operations.
- Bobcat – Mulching, general earthworks, backfilling, loading trucks, erosion control.
- Trencher -operation of Vermeer chain trencher.
The core role is primarily the operation of plant and equipment; however, the role is versatile and you will be required to assist with a variety of hands-on day-to-day tasks including but not limited to:
- Pipe laying
- Irrigation valve assembly
- Concreting
- Machinery and Equipment maintenance
Flexibility and willingness to help out wherever you are needed is essential.
Who are you?

It is essential that you have experience in operating TWO or more of the previously mentioned machines. DevelopAg is passionate about facilitating the up-skill of our team, with additional training on machines outside of your experience provided as required.

- Experienced in the operation of the above-mentioned machinery.
- Mechanically minded with experience in general vehicle and machinery maintenance.
- Be absolutely trustworthy, accountable, responsible, and reliable.
- Pride yourself in the upkeep of all plant, equipment, and tools.
- Possess a positive outlook and can-do attitude.
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering the highest quality workmanship 100% of the time.
- Physically fit and healthy
- C class drivers’ licence (minimum)
Applicants with the below additional credentials will be viewed favorably:
- Machine operator licence/tickets
- HC Truck licence
- White Card
- Welding / Steel Fabrication ability
