Protech are currently hiring Experienced Mining Operators to join our client, Middlemount Coal.Middlemount Coal operates as a joint venture between Peabody Energy and Yancoal. Situated about 90 kilometers northeast of Emerald and just 7 kilometers west of Middlemount township in Queenslad’s Bowen Basin, Middlemount is an open-cut mine.

Multi Skilled Operators:

• Suitable candidates must have a minimum 12 month’s experience operating either CAT 789, 793, 797 Haul Trucks or the equivalent models + a minimum of two of the following:
• Dozers (D10,11) & Graders (16/24M/H) - highly sought after
• Water Truck, Loader or Excavator

THE ROLE:

Under the supervision of the Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy mobile plant machinery at Middlemount Coal Mine. Your responsibilities include collaborating with your team and the wider site to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality results.

To qualify for these roles, you are required to have the following:

• Experience in open-cut production mining operating relevant machinery
• Valid Drivers Licence;
• A skills list signed by SSE or evidence of proficiency in relevant machinery
• Standard 11 Certificate (willing to obtain)
• Coal Board Medical (willing to obtain).
• Proof of Australian working rights;
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & undergo Drug and Alcohol testing prior to commencement
