Let’s not beat around the bush, we are a local Gympie business that is growing faster than the lawn on a hot summers day. The grass is growing so we need people who can hit the ground running with experience in grounds maintenance, brushcutting and mowing. We are also recruiting a separate role for someone with handyman or landscaping experience.
We’re not just your standard mow-and-go operation, our reputation has been built on providing a premium service, it’s in our name - YardCraft. There’s not much we don’t do, which means your day will be wide and varied. We provide all tools, vehicles and training; you bring the energy and enthusiasm to get the job done to the highest standard.
What your day might include
For the lawn and garden maintainers
- Mowing, whipper-snipping, edging and blowing
- Hedging
- Weeding (both hand-weeding and poison spraying)
- Low-level tree trimming
- Planting flowers, shrubs and trees
- Applying mulch
- High-pressure washing
- Managing and maintaining tools and equipment
- Laying turf
- Physical tasks such as digging, lifting, shovelling, carrying and packing/unpacking
- Driving vehicles with a trailer attached
- Other tasks involved in whole garden clean-ups and makeovers.
- Ad hoc slashing work …
For the handyman/landscapers
- Property maintenance – minor carpentry, plastering, painting, tiling, general home maintenance and more
- Minor hard landscaping – garden edging, retaining walls, paving, fencing and decking
- Soft landscaping – planting, spreading soil, mulches and gravel, turfing and lawn renovation
- Operation of mechanical equipment – hand and power tool, petrol powered equipment
- Clean-up at the end of every job

What you will bring
- Experience is highly desirable, but not essential (for handyman roles experience is a must)
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to client relations
- Be physically fit and able to work hard days when required
- Have a friendly and enthusiastic approach to work
- Able to work at a fast pace and keep to timeframes
- Be reliable and honest
- Enjoy working both independently and in a team
- Hold the client in high regard, with fastidious attention to detail
- Have a desire to grow within a fast paced and exciting company
The non-negotiables
- Current Manual Drivers Licence
- Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
- WHS/OHS Induction Card (white card, or willing to obtain one)
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
