Job Description We are collaborating with a leading financial institution in Australia to find an experienced Murex Datamart SME with significant financial markets expertise. The role involves providing advanced Datamart knowledge, including scripting and optimisation for SEOD and batches, as well as acting as a tech lead to mentor junior consultants and vendor staff. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective collaboration with onshore and offshore teams are essential. Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in a project team extending the scope of current applications, with a primary focus on credit risk reporting within Murex. Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing, designing, and configuring Murex Datamart implementations
• Setting up and configuring reports for risk, transactions, compliance, P&L, cash flow, etc.
• Handling Change Requests and enhancements
• Optimising reports for performance
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements
• Documenting Functional and Technical Specifications, as well as Test Cases for integration
• Developing design and build documents
• Managing stakeholders from both IT and business sides

Mandatory Skills:

• Over 12 years of relevant experience
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring junior consultants and vendor staff
• Strong expertise in Datamart, including scripting and optimisation for SEOD (Start of Day) and batch processes

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in SQL
• Extensive experience with Murex Datamart, including:   - Dynamic tables   - Basis of Facts (BoF)   - Basis of Estimates (BoE)   - Scanner templates
• Proficiency in configuring and optimising reports for risk, transactions, compliance, P&L, cash flow, etc.
• Proficiency in Unix
• Experience in technical solution design and end-to-end solution ownership

Additional Skills:

• MxML experience is advantageous
• Strong understanding of financial markets across various asset classes

Preferred Qualities:

• Excellent problem-solving and optimisation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and lead effectively

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with DevOps in Murex (GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, etc.)
• Experience with FXCash, FX Derivatives, and Commodities
