We are seeking MULTIPLE Temporary Area Relieving Teachers (ART) to work across the Western Hub in the APY Lands for the 2024 school year.
ARTs are engaged to cover short term vacancies in schools within a radius up to 250 km from your base school, Murputja Anangu School. The three Western Hub sites include Murputja, Pipalyatjara and Amata Anangu Schools. You can expect to work with indigenous students across a range of year levels, age groups and curriculum areas, often at short notice. Consequently, you need to be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships and interact professionally with a wide range of people in a variety of locations. This role also requires a strong level of autonomy, as well as capacity to collaborate with teachers and Anangu educators.
The applicant will be required to rotate for periods of 1-3 weeks at a given school in the Western Hub, with extended appointments negotiated if necessary.
Teachers with skills and experience in early childhood & secondary subjects, EALD, and working with indigenous students are particularly sought after.
Area Relieving Teachers receive a 12.5% loading on their salary. In addition to the salary the following financial incentives may apply.
