We have an exciting opportunity and rare opportunity for a music guru to join NOVA Entertainment. We are seeking a Music Scheduler/Programming Assistant to assist us in the successful implementation of retail radio for NOVA Entertainment. This role is responsible for overseeing the music scheduling for your allocated station and will include retail and NOVA stations. This is a 3 year contract for a full-time employee.

Your day to day will include tasks such as

  • selecting and scheduling music on G Selector,
  • maintaining relationships with record labels and artists,
  • staying updated on music trends and
  • ensuring that the station complies with music licensing regulations
  • Scheduling of music content across relevant stations using systems
  • Managing the daily network scheduling of music in line with station brand values
  • Assisting in forward planning music features and seasonal music clocks and schedules in conjunction with the Head of Music – Nova Network and Group Programming Director – Nova Network.
  • Assisting local and group programming in strategy and operations.
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders (Programming, Commercial and CREATE departments) including clients and record companies.

Your guiding principle will be to ensure your actions and activities meet the programming strategy and are aligned to the relevant brand identity of the station. In addition, your role will support the Head of Music with building stations and the music strategy.

This role reports directly to the Head of Music – NOVA Network and is a central liaison point between our internal departments Programming, Audience Engagement and Commercial Partnerships.

Experience and Qualifications

·       2 years' experience working in a similar role within the Radio/Broadcast Media Industry, with sound music knowledge (preferrable). This is not a senior role.

·       Sound knowledge of production techniques, systems & high-end studio equipment including Zetta and G-Selector.

·       Strong attention to detail and time management skills is a crucial requirement for this role.

·       Ability to work under pressure and be solutions focused is vital to this role.
