The role
Applications are currently invited from talented and accomplished Piano Tutors to join our Music Department on a casual basis, working approx 4.5 hours per week. This fantastic opportunity has arisen as a result of an internal promotion.
Working in a team of like-minded professionals, and alongside other Piano Tutors, you will be responsible for delivering lessons to individual and groups of students of a variety of ages across our Junior and Secondary Schools.
Key requirements for this role include:
- Relevant skills and experience in musicianship and tutelage of the Piano in a school environment.
- Advanced skills as a Piano Tutor.
- Current experience facilitating piano lessons (all levels) in accordance with AMEB syllabus and VCE syllabus for examination preparation.
- A demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and engage with students of all ages and abilities.
- A demonstrated ability to enthuse, motivate and encourage students to participate in solo performances and School Music ensembles.
