We're excited to announce an opening for a National Clinical Lead in Occupational Therapy here on our Better Rehab team. This leadership role is not just a job, it's a chance to make a significant impact on the lives of our participants and communities. This position can be based in any of the Eastern states. 
  
The National Clinical Lead is a strategic leadership position responsible for overall accountability of the clinical division whilst ensuring effective integration and collaboration across all Better Rehab disciplines. The role is also responsible for communicating national service direction and ensuring that clinicians at all levels are adequately resourced, inducted, and developed professionally to meet exemplary quality customer service standards and evidence-based practice.

Your Role and Impact: 
  • Support and develop Principal Clinicians to ensure that they are managing clinicians to provide therapy services in-line with evidence-based practice and company policies & procedures. 
  • Using information from their discipline Clinical Leaders to identify areas of development for their department.  
  • Innovating and implementing industry leading efficiency and clinical programs using subject matter experts and data informed decision making. 
  • In collaboration with Principal Clinicians, identify the physical resources required for clinicians to provide services for NDIS and other participants, and ensure each location is adequately equipped to perform a range of services. 
  • Negotiate with suppliers on equipment to ensure consistency across locations, as well as to secure preferential pricing and service for Better Rehab. 
  • Keep abreast of changes to NDIS guidelines and communicate changes to clinicians as required. 
  • In liaison with clinicians & the Leadership Team, draft clear policies, procedures and guidelines applicable to the discipline & client service. 
  • Represent and advocate for discipline at the Leadership level.  
  • Set the induction and onboarding framework for clinicians at all levels within relevant discipline, and ensure that Principal Clinicians and Clinical Supervisors are executing actions in-line with framework  
  • Contribute to and delegate tasks involved with quality improvement projects.  
  • Take ownership for Professional Development Framework for Continued Professional Development (CPD) for clinicians, identifying internal & external courses and providers, and ensuring that clinicians meet or exceed the CPD points required to maintain Australian registration.
  • Conduct in-house training sessions to upskill clinicians.

Who We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and Postgraduate qualifications preferred. 
  • 7+ years’ post qualification experience.  
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry.  
  • Prior experience with NDIS highly desirable. 
  • Proven experience in a Senior leadership role with- service development, service expansion, clinical governance in the NDIS/healthcare setting at scale. 
  • Strong conflict resolution experience. 
  • Strategic mindset with strong data analysis skills. 
  • Relevant Australian registration / governing body certification.  
  • Current drivers’ License.  
  • Working with Children Check.  
  • National Police Check. 
  • NDIS Workers Check.
