About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available in the National Debt Team reporting into the National Revenue Service Manager. This role will see you responsible for the arrears management of a National Portfolio. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane, with the opportunity to work from various hub locations across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with an opportunity for flexible working arrangements to work from home within business requirements. This role would suit an experienced and sharp Credit Administrator looking for their next challenge within the Property Industry.  We are looking for a suitable candidate who is wanting to grow their career, as this role may take on key reporting requirements for the business to assist the National Revenue Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • High volume reconciliations of debtor accounts across multiple assets
  • Correspondence with tenants to ensure all outstanding arrears are collected in a timely manner
  • High level engagement with internal stakeholders. This includes leasing teams, centre asset teams, and internal legal teams
  • Ability to review and understand gross occupancy and percentage rent calculations
  • Ensure correct allocation of funds are offset against retailer invoices
  • Attend debt meetings with National Revenue Services Manager
  • Ensure commentary and classifications are updated on a monthly basis
  • Issue arrears notification letters on a monthly basis as required
  • Liaise with external solicitors on legal matters relating to arrears collection
  • Process and issue payment plans as needed
  • Assist centre asset teams as and when required

The Successful Candidate

  • Previous experience in a high-volume collection’s role (3-5 years’ experience)
  • Previous experience within a property collections role would be desired
  • Knowledge and understanding of retail leases
  • Experience with arrears management relating to administration and liquidation would be desired
  • Previous experience working with National clients
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • A clear understanding of credit policies and procedures
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
  • Medium excel skills (pivot tables and vlookups essential)
