Form of workNational ACM is looking for a Digital Journalist to work in their high performing national editorial team.
This job can be based at one of our offices in Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, the Central West or other locations all over NSW, or remotely, or a mix.
ACM (Australian Community Media) is Australia's largest independent publisher, with more than 100 loved and leading rural, regional and community brands, including daily newspapers such as the Canberra Times, Illawarra Mercury, Newcastle Herald, Bendigo Advertiser, The Advocate, Central Western Daily, Daily Liberal, The Border Mail, The Courier, The Daily Advertiser, The Examiner, The Northern Daily Leader, The Standard and the Western Advocate.
The national team produces breaking and trending news for the engaged online audiences of all ACM mastheads. From the city to the bush, the country to the coast, our trusted news keeps hundreds of Australian communities informed, connected and strong.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong news sense - know what stories will do well when
- High quality digital news production skills
- A passion for news and storytelling that will attract, convert and engage our audiences
- Skills to explore innovative ways to value-add to ACM stories
- Writing and editing expertise as well as attention to detail in order to produce and edit clean, correct and compelling copy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced news environment, to suggest and produce great storytelling to deadline
