Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced National Integrated Transport Network Planning Lead for our National Transport team, to be based from our Sydney office.
This exciting role will be responsible for leading the operational aspects of GHD's Future Communities Strategy to Street initiative and supporting regions across Australia to win and deliver work in Network Planning and operations.
Reporting to the Business Group Leader (Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning) in Sydney, you will also have matrix reporting lines to both our National Transport Mobility Leader and our Market Leader, Transport.
Your role will include the following tasks:
- Involvement in proposals for major city-shaping projects and involved in pursuit teams for key transport planning and Network Planning opportunities
- Support GHD's Mobility initiative
- Involvement in project delivery at a strategic level
- Project Manager and Project Director for specific projects
- Industry involvement and being across developments of best practice in city shaping, Network Planning management and operations
- Increasing external awareness of Network Planning through engagement with industry and developing and delivering though leadership
- Supporting GHD's growth and capability in project development with State, National and International transport infrastructure clients
- Work closely with GHD Market Leaders to agree strong market sector alignment for the Transport business plan
- Connect with GHD teams globally to share experience and helping regions to win work
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, the GHD Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering Service Line, Business Group Leaders, Technical Directors, Project Directors and Project Managers
- Degree qualified and experienced Traffic Engineer or Transport Planner with 10-15 years of experience
- Pro-active and enthusiastic attitude, great team-working approach and an ability to work both independently and as part of an integrated wider team.
- Demonstrated experience on major transport projects
- Sound traffic management and engineering knowledge with passion for traffic engineering and transport planning principles and standards
- Well-developed communication skills, including report writing and the ability to present concepts to a diverse range of clients
