Your New Company
Your new company is a local government branch which is an innovative customer-centric leader in park services for the Logan community. This is one of the largest Councils in Australia, providing community services and facilities to a growing population representing many different cultures.
Your New Role
In your new role you will be working in a high-performing naturals areas team. You will be responsible for Natural Area’s conservation and regeneration works, which includes weed spraying, brush cutting and using a chainsaw. This position not only comes with great equipment and resources to achieve the set goals, but it also gives you the opportunity to be part of a professional team that are passionate about what they do. This opportunity within the Parks Branch is for the period commencing 29th January 2024, to the 05th of May 2024 with the possibility of extension.
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant qualifications and experience in on-ground implementation of bushland maintenance
- Knowledge and identification skills relating to indigenous flora and fauna, and exotic species
- High level ability to learn, take initiative and take responsibility for achieving positive outcomes within their role
- Fire management experience and qualifications is preferred, and may include work outside of normal business hours as requested to meet ad-hoc operational requirements.
