Civik is a fast-growing telecommunications company operating in Cairns and Townsville. We have exciting opportunities for experienced NBN Civil Labourers to start immediately.
Role Overview
We are looking for dedicated and reliable team members with a strong work ethic. You must be physically fit, ready to work, and willing to travel on short notice. The ideal candidate will be experienced in installing and upgrading telco pits as a one-man crew and possess a broad skill set across NBN civil works.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new and upgrade existing telco pits
- Operate hand and power tools
- Adhere to onsite safety measures
- Read and interpret plans and BYDA
- Use iPad for start cards, photos and spreadsheets
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Operate Vac Trucks
- Perform trenching
- Break out and reinstate asphalt, concrete, and pavers
- Rod, rope, and dig down to repair blockages in conduits
- Scoping and cable hauling
Desirable Qualifications
- MR Driver's License
- Locate and Protect Underground Assets
- Supervise Asbestos Removal
- Traffic Management
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- NBN Experience (enAble)
- Excavator and Plant Operator Ticket
Must-Have Requirements
- Willingness to work away from home (LAFHA provided for each night away)
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transport
- Construction White Card
- Physically fit, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team environment
