About the role:
Are you ready to take the driver's seat in revolutionising pharmaceutical logistics on a national scale? We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Modelling and Fleet Lead within our Supply Chain team. As a key player in our logistics team, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing our expansive network of warehouses and transport providers, shaping the future of pharmaceutical distribution.
As the Network Modelling and Fleet Lead, you will be the maestro orchestrating the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our logistics network. Reporting directly to the National Logistics Manager, you will own the logistics optimization tool, providing valuable insights into transport network efficiency, cost-to-serve, and fleet operations. Your responsibilities will include implementing new customers into the current network model, reviewing network models for continuous improvement, and driving initiatives to enhance service quality while minimizing cost
What you'll do:
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing the cost-to-serve framework, ensuring its effectiveness and relevance. This involves continuous enhancement of the logistics cost-to-serve tool, implementing national routing improvements to optimize cost and service outcomes, and developing efficient route models for new customers and varying volumes. Your role extends to supporting the quarterly review of the logistics roadmap, where your commercial acumen and strategic thinking will be crucial in shaping the direction of logistics operations.
Additionally, you will spearhead the modelling and implementation of a Managed Fleet Operations & Fleet Tracking system, overseeing the complete lifecycle of fleet operations. This encompasses planning, design, procurement, compliance, maintenance, and utilization of all transport assets. Collaboration with the National Transport Account Manager will be key in enhancing carrier service and cost management, requiring your insights to drive continuous improvement strategies. You'll play a pivotal role in evaluating service quality, identifying areas for improvement, and championing initiatives to elevate overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Who are you?
You may be a recent graduate with experience in route optimisation and fleet management, or further along in your career looking to join an iconic player in the industry.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in domestic route planning and optimization (mandatory)
- Operational competency in transport with dedicated fleet operations, equipment design, and specification
- Strong business partnering skills, influencing senior stakeholders, and project teams
- Proven people leadership skills for optimizing team performance
- Prior experience in efficiency and cost reduction programs
- Experience developing financial and network models
- Certified training in Power BI models, Tableau models, Advanced Excel, Azure desirable
- Routing experience in the Australian Road network
- Experience in Chain of Responsibility maintenance and reporting
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, engineering, supply chain, or similar
