About the Role Neuropsychologist/ Neurosychology Registrar to join the Mental Health Allied Health team Part-Time 15.2 hours per week As a seasoned professional, your role is to provide formal cognitive assessments using appropriate up to date standardised, norm referenced measures. Conduct brief cognitive assessments, prepare reports based on your assessment and provide consultation on the most appropriate treatment options. As well as:
Provision of both assessment and crisis intervention services within inpatient Mental Health setting as well as other areas of the hospital as requested
Preparation of reports that summarise results and provide a formulation and recommendations based on all key information from the assessment process.
Feedback and psychoeducation to patients (as appropriate) and their families.
Feedback to clinical team members, including treating psychiatrist.
Work closely within a multidisciplinary team of medical specialists and Allied Health Professionals.
Facilitate group therapy and information sessions with a neuropsychological focus, such as including groups on memory, healthy brains and aging.
Engaging in quality improvement programs and projects.
Providing one to one therapeutic interventions.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in the assessment and treatment of individuals with acute, sub-acute and chronic psychological disorders and addiction within a hospital or community mental health setting. Your exceptional interpersonal skills, along with the ability to develop professional relationships with a diverse range of medical designations will see you exceed in this role. If you are committed to professional development, ethical standards and self-reflective practice and have a current registration with your governing body AHPRA we would love to hear from you. Salary will be determined based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope - NSW - Health Professionals $ Support Services Agreement - 2023, salary range between $46.83 - $59.93/hour.
