Our hospital has been undergoing redevelopment since 2016 and we have recently opened new sections of the hospital. The Occupational Therapy department has also commenced an outpatient service to the local community and is looking for additional support to manage the increased case load.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic New GraduateOccupational Therapist to join our group as soon as possible. Our Occupational Therapists are integral members of the multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to manage a varied caseload across acute, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient settings. This role would be ideal for an Occupational Therapist with a willingness to learn and an interest in working in the hospital environment. Clinical support will be provided by the Senior Occupational Therapists within the team.
Position criteria:
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the philosophy, mission and values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
- A degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA and ability to work unrestricted
- Experience as a student Occupational Therapist in a hospital setting
- Demonstrated ability to work within the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
Other requirements:
- In accordance to guidelines set by NSW Health, all SVPHS employees are required to have up to date vaccinations before commencement. It is encouraged that you ensure your vaccinations are current ahead of time as you may be requested to provide documentation at interview stage.
