Cessnock Community Health ServiceAbout the role:Join us in a dynamic role where you'll thrive in both paediatric and adult inpatient wards over four 6.5-hour days each week. This unique opportunity is tailor-made for ambitious individuals looking to broaden their expertise and achieve personal growth. You'll spend two dedicated days per week immersed in paediatric care, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams that include nursing and medical professionals. You'll also engage with external stakeholders such as NDIS and preschools to ensure seamless referrals and comprehensive patient care. The remaining two days will be devoted to refining your skills in an adult care setting, where you'll deepen your understanding and proficiency.Our ideal candidate will benefit from personalised 1-on-1 clinical supervision, ensuring tailored guidance and mentorship to enhance clinical practice and professional development. Additionally, peer supervision will foster a collaborative learning environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and mutual support among colleagues. About you:
  • This role is suited to someone who has less than 12 months experience in a clinical setting and looking to expand their knowledge

  • Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Experience working with an adult caseload, including experience in management of adult dysphagia.
  • An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
