The Opportunity
This role will be responsible for delivering NPD to market through the NPD Steps Process. You will manage the timeline and delivery of the project, coordinating various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely
- •Overall responsibility is to lead the commercialization of Domestic NPD projects to market.
- Uphold the governance principles of the NPD Process and proactively guide projects and stakeholders to adhere to the process.
- Lead a variety of projects including Private Label, Contract Manufacturing and Branded, and flex approach and stakeholder communications based on the specific needs of each launch.
- Manage timeline of projects, escalating timeline risks and potential solutions before issues arise.
- Lead the Weekly NPD Steering meeting, including preparation and follow-up communications.
- Monitor and manage the resources needed to deliver projects on time in full, flagging issues proactively.
- Build relationships with cross functional stakeholders, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Regulatory, Demand Planning, QA, R&D.
- Hold cross functional stakeholders accountable for delivery of their part of the NPD project.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards and customer trends.
- Lead administrative duties for NPD commercialisation, including setting up Project Codes, GS1 barcode approvals, Budget tracking, tracking inventory of dry goods to minimise write-offs (e.g. pack changes).
- Coordinate approvals of key product attributes
- Present projects at Steering Committee meetings for the purpose of alignment and approval.
- Frequently assess and recommend improvements to the Steps Process for continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years Project management Experience, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of Product Development processes.
- Project Management technical skills – including proficiency in Microsoft Project.
- A desire to continuously develop technical and leadership skills.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly across various stakeholder groups.
- Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise.
- Independent and autonomous yet a team player
