Not In Placement (NIP) Caseworker 

Salary Package up to $108,135

(Inclusive of $92,500 base salary, leave loading, superannuation and salary sacrifice opportunities plus work laptop)

KARI is one of the largest accredited Aboriginal Out of Home Care (OOHC) services in NSW. There is currently an opportunity to join our Permanency Support Program (PSP) based at our Liverpool office. This position services the Sydney Metropolitan region and supports children who are Not In authorised placements The successful candidate will ensure that children achieve a suitable permanency option; either entering a safe placement or a suitable therapeutic care model within a reasonable timeframe. 

The person we are looking to employ must have the following attributes:

• Qualifications which may include University or TAFE certification     
• High Level demonstrated knowledge of the OOHC sector and legislation.
• Experience working in a case management model and/or OOHC program.
• Competence in identifying and responding to risk and knowledge of mandatory reporting requirements. 
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families and children.
• Possession of a current NSW Driver’s License 
• Willingness to undertake a Working with Children Check.
