About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is currently seeking an experienced nursing team leader to join their Medical Unit on a permanent basis as a Nurse Unit Manager.
The Medical Unit offers a variety of opportunities to care for patients that have specialised care needs. This includes rehabilitation, oncology, hematology and general medicine. The Medical Unit is a supportive team of nurses, doctors and allied health staff who together care for patients, carers and family whilst they are at Mater hospital.
Salary range: $69.34- $74.56 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you’ll be doing
In this role, the successful applicants will be responsible for directing and coordinating care that is underpinned by contemporary, safe, coordinated and high-quality patient-centred care across the multidisciplinary environment of their unit. The role is responsible for the operational, professional, and clinical service management of their People and resources. The Nurse Unit Manager will achieve this through the development of effective partnerships, leadership and management of all nursing and clinical support staff and resources, within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum five (5) years’ relevant experience in an acute care facility.
- Knowledge and experience of the designated Departments requirements and standards.
- Prior comparable experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a health care environment.
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to clinical speciality.
