  • Salary: RN/M3 $121,537 - $126,970 p.a. (Pro-rata)
  • Temporary Part Time position working 22.8 hours per week up to 18 October 2024

Overview

You will provide clinical nursing expertise for clients referred to the McGrath Breast Care Program. You will also provide clinical leadership and advice to the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Region Community Nursing Team in the management of cancer care for clients with breast cancer. Practicing with a significant degree of autonomy and decision making, you will provide direct nursing care to clients as well as coordinating projects or programs that improve client care outcomes. Accepting accountability for your nursing practice and the outcomes of nursing practices for clients with breast cancer, you will strive for continuous improvement in the professional advice given, delegations of care made, and address inconsistencies between practice and policy. Keeping professionally up-to-date with relevant research, technological advances and the McGrath Breast Care models of care, you will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and across organisational divisions and sites to promote communication processes that enable the best client outcomes.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in the clinical management of clients diagnosed with breast cancer, or prior experience in cancer care, you will demonstrate flexibility, innovation and creativity within the service setting. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will equip you to work appropriately and in a culturally respectful way with women and families where there are multiple complexities, diverse cultural backgrounds and expectations.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
