About the Role
Based in Nuriootpa and reporting to the Nursery Production Manager, you will coordinate inventory and work processes to ensure quality vine production through the efficient completion of Nursery Procedures and related instructions.
Key Tasks include.
- Work in accordance with relevant nursery duties directed by Management to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved.
- Ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained at a high level of efficiency and safety.
- Supervise elements that relate to dormant vines being processed.
- Ensure that all cuttings received are correctly processed and recorded.
- Coordinate all propagation activities related to vine production and supervise all post propagation activities related to potted vine production.
- Supervise the packing and dispatch of dormant and potted vines.
- Oversee the day-to-day tasks related to the use of Cold room.
- Liaise with Oxford Landing Estate and arrange timely pick up/delivery of materials.
- To ensure that all processes are auditable under relevant industry certification schemes.
- Be familiar with the requirements as set out in the current Yalumba Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
- To conduct efficient use and safe operation of all plant and equipment in the respective allocated nursery areas under Management instruction.
- Participate in programs that will have a positive impact on morale, productivity and quality.
About You
A Certificate 3 in Horticulture, Viticulture or similar relevant vocation will be of benefit and a current forklift licence is preferred.
You will have the ability to work to a high standard of quality and can work collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility of working hours across the full week and additional hours as required during the peak of production.
