Position Title: Nurse Course Coordinator

Term: While we would prefer a full-time appointment, applicants who are seeking a part time employment opportunity are also encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

EQUALS seeks to appoint a Nursing Course Coordinator for our Diploma of Nursing course.

We are seeking a capable professional/s with a passion for teaching as well as industry currency.  

You will hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with Ahpra, and demonstrate currency of practice through your industry experience.

As a Course Coordinator you will be responsible for contemporary teaching and learning practise. You will:

  • actively contribute to the delivery and assessment of course units
  • guide and counsel students
  • be prepared to liaise with industry stakeholders (including industry partners/employers)
  • possess a commitment to valuing equality, diversity and unity
  • enjoy working independently as well as part of a team
  • maintain a spirit and practise of excellence in both the care of our students and in developing their potential.

In this role, you will actively contribute to the provision of holistic education that cultivates a deep sense of awareness and purpose, development of critical reflection, freedom of inquiry, academic excellence, and contemporary research that contributes to our culture of scholarship.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with Ahpra 
  • Completed a TAE40122/TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 
  • Industry experience as a Registered Nurse – 3 year minimum and have maintained current experience in the field 
  • Experience in the delivery and use of various technologies in the classroom setting
