The role:
The Nursing Director - RHH Integrated Operations Centre:
- Undertakes a key senior management role with responsibility for leading strategic planning, service delivery and policy development activities relating to the delivery of health services across the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) that improve patient pathways and access for the population, where appropriate.
- Takes operational management responsibility for Nursing and Clinical Directors across the service delivery areas of the RHH, working in collaboration and cooperation with other key senior personnel.
- Provides advice and assistance to the Chief Executive Hospitals South to inform decision making to promote the delivery of effective and efficient services within the RHH and to develop, implement and evaluate strategies that support the Department of Health (DoH) in achieving its key objectives.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker (on call) position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $181,509 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility:

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

- Holds a post graduate tertiary qualification relevant to the position
