- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial factors.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practice.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to address deficits and promote independence in activities of daily living, sensory processing, motor skills, and vocational pursuits.
- Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and holistic support for clients.
- Monitor clients' progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Educate clients, caregivers, and other stakeholders on strategies for managing challenges and maximizing participation in meaningful activities.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and progress notes in a clear, concise, and timely manner, in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy practice and participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with clients and their families.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current registration/licensure as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant regulatory body.
- Previous experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including children, adults, and older adults, preferably in a community or disability services setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills, with a focus on person-centered care and goal attainment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage clients and families in the therapeutic process.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to the diverse needs of clients from various backgrounds and communities.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines and standards of practice.
