The North Coast Region is seeking an Occupational Therapist who has a strong desire to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in regional schools.
You will provide OT services through a tiered model of support to schools within the geographical area of Maryborough and surrounds. Some travel is required in this role and department fleet vehicles are available.
This role is offered on a temporary part-time basis at 45.60 hours and 0.60 FTE, until 31 December 2024 unless otherwise determined.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include:
- Support students to achieve their potential using evidence-based contemporary occupational therapy knowledge and frameworks to assist schools to identify and make reasonable adjustments and use inclusive teaching strategies.
- Collaborate and liaise with school leaders, teachers, other service providers, and the supervising Occupational Therapist to assess barriers to student learning and develop and implement occupational therapy services across schools.
- Participate as an active member in education teams within schools to ensure the delivery of high quality, evidence-based contemporary occupational therapy services to enhance learning outcomes for students with disability.
- Use professional knowledge and skills to deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, professional standards and guidelines.
