What you'll be doing in this role?
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist you may work across any of the programs in the Paediatric and Youth Hub. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work with a team of Allied Health professionals who work in collaboration with educators in kindergartens, teachers in schools, and with families, to build their capability to create an environment for all children that promotes:
- Improved social interaction
- Self-regulation and positive and pro-social behaviour
- Social and emotional wellbeing and mastery of everyday tasks
- Assessment, planning, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement related to the provision of paediatric occupational therapy services, including those provided as part of the Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS) funding.
- Develop individualised treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each patient, taking into account their age, diagnosis, and functional abilities.
- Contribute to up-skilling of other allied health professionals in the core business areas of Occupational Therapy (Grade 2 and above).
- Supervise students, providing guidance and oversight of activities (Grade 2 and above).
- Batchelor of Occupational therapy
- Valid AHPRA registration
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence
- A current Working with Children Check (Employee)
- ADO each month (full-time staff only)
