About the role:

An exciting and unique opportunity presents itself for a dedicated Pharmacist to join our wonderful team at HPS, Calvary Health Care Tasmania.

We are looking for an Pharmacist with Oncology experience or wanting to get into Oncology to join us on a permanent Full Time Basis where you will reap the rewards of the most rewarding sector of Pharmacy! 

This position is a Full - Time 38 hours per week working Monday - Friday. 

Pharmacists with Community experience are highly encouraged to apply, as our roles are a great pathway to transition into hospital-based pharmacy! 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medication chart reviews, medication reconciliation and medication management plans
  • Prepare medication profiles
  • Prepare Chemotherapy treatments 
  • Contribute to a multi-disciplinary team in providing patient centred care and expert professional knowledge
  • Dispense and supply medications in line with legal and professional requirements
  • Clinical liaison with the relevant hospital wards and clinics
  • Assist with business and process improvement.

About you:

  • Current AHPRA Pharmacy Registration 
  • Membership with a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff
  • A high level of attention to detail and precision in record keeping
  • The ability to organise complex tasks and solve problems
  • A patient-centric mindset, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude
  • A desire to learn and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment
  • Current Covid-19 vaccinations as per Public Health Orders​​​​
