The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to be an integral part of maintaining and enhancing the Council's roads and infrastructure through operational upkeep and repair work. Operating within diverse areas and project teams as needed, this position involves hands-on assistance in a range of manual labour and skilled tasks, all under direct supervision.

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage) operation of small handheld tools, equipment and machinery relevant to the field equipment.
- Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment, and to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devises effectively, embracing digital solutions for work activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day-to-day operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
- Hold and maintain C Class Drivers Licence, Traffic Control Combo ticket and WHS induction card with a willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw course.
