Brisbane based 12-month contract opportunity
As the Operational Risk Manager, you will provide risk management advice, support, assurance and challenge to the Bank Home Lending Portfolio.
What you’ll do
Play a key role in driving simplification of and an increased awareness of risk management through successful interaction and exceptional relationship management
Work closely with the 1st line of defence to ensure that appropriate risk and compliance obligations exist, and that governance processes and reporting are implemented effectively
Oversee, guide and challenge the Bank Home Lending teams to facilitate enunciation of their Operational Risks and compliance obligations and testing of controls
Understand the Bank Home Lending teams needs and priorities and provide practical advice that results in pragmatic solutions that meet those needs
Provide a forward-looking view into Operational Risks whilst working closely with key stakeholders and committees across the Bank
Drive risk strategies and initiatives to improve risk culture, risk insights, and capability maturity
Provide valuable risk management and governance advice for BAU and projects including Bank Transition
What you’ll bring
5+ years risk management or commercial experience in the financial services industry
Knowledge of Australian Regulatory environment (APRA, ASIC and ATO)
Proven experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders, including senior management
Experience in balancing risk-related requirements with budgetary and commercial realities and business goals.
Tertiary qualifications in business or risk management disciplines
