Our client, a successful and privately-owned heavy industrial business carries decades of experience and is held in very high regard by its clientele who span building, construction and industrial sectors. Given their drive to continue to innovate, they are seeking an experienced Operations leader who can direct and manage a diverse range of business areas. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional but grounded up-and-coming executive to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the logistics and support functions, ensuring smooth operations across various business segments, but also act as a leader across the entire company, driving growth, improvement and development throughout.
- Implement robust operating systems to support and drive growth.
- At times, act as a key account manager within your role, in order to truly understand and lead the delivery of customer needs.
- Lead from the front around HSE and Quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve cost savings, efficiencies, and high-quality customer service whilst ensuring legal and safety compliance is adhered to.
Your proven experience in a similar role within a fast-growth business (preferable private small-to-medium sized entity, related to a trades-based or heavy industrial environment) will place you in an excellent position to be considered for this role. The ability to balance tactical and strategic elements of operations management, proven ability to understand the numbers to determine how to improve the bottom line and capability to use technology within business operations to enhance efficiency will further strengthen your application.
