Operations Manager - TiTree Landfill

Veolia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead the landfill operations at our Ti-Tree Bioenergy facility (Willowbank 4306). In this leadership role, you will provide strategic direction, visible leadership and a strong commitment to ensuring safe, efficient, cost-effective and profitable operations that comply with legal, environmental and ethical standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Overseeing all aspects of landfill operations including waste disposal, landfill gas capture, compaction, waste acceptance  and compliance with regulations/licences.
• Providing strategic leadership to the team, including setting goals and objectives, managing performance, and offering guidance and support to drive achievement of site plans.
• Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal teams, contractors, government entities and the local community.
• Implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement, operational optimization and cost efficiencies.
• Demonstrating visible leadership and promoting Veolia’s “Always Safe Culture”, ensuring the workplace is safe at all times. 

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or or relevant discipline
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in waste/landfill operations, heavy industry or similar operational setting
• Demonstrated ability to drive safety culture improvements and regulatory compliance
• Strong commercial acumen with skills in financial management, budgeting and cost control
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Valid driver's licence
