About the roleWe have an exciting new opportunity in Brisbane for an Operational
Technology Engineer/Specialist, reporting to our Senior Control Systems Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Operational Technology assets within Senex's Queensland operations-including Windows, SCADA, networking, and CCTV systems-are installed, operated, and maintained in compliance with all relevant legislative requirements and Senex procedures, standards, and guidelines.Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Providing support for Senex's Operational Technology (OT) environment, telemetry networks, SCADA systems, and asset CCTV systems
- Domain Administration of the Senex Operational Technology environment including Azure and on-premises installations. Includes Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure firewalls, Entra ID, etc.
- Provide specialist input to the design and maintenance of the OT environment and network in relation to cyber security, and compliance to IEC62443, AESCSF, and other industrial cyber security frameworks.
- Develop and perform maintenance policy and routines for the Operational Technology environment, telemetry networks, SCADA system, and asset CCTV systems.
- Develop specifications, procedures and training as required to assist the larger working group using SCADA and Operational Technology systems.
- Support operations with troubleshooting, rectification, surveillance and training both onsite and remotely from the Brisbane office.
- Take a lead role in pre-commissioning checks, commissioning activities, and troubleshooting as relevant to discipline and plant being installed.
Successful candidates must have a valid car driving license and are willing to travel to remote site locations in the Surat Basin as needed for operational assistance and maintenance.
About YouYou are a tertiary-qualified engineer specialising in Mechatronics, Electrical, Software, or Chemical Engineering, with significant experience in a Control System or Operational Technology environment within an operational company.Your hands-on experience with OT Systems is extensive and varied. You are proficient in Azure, Windows Domain administration, SCADA systems, networking and communications, CCTV, firewalls, and operations within an industrial setting. Additionally, you have substantial experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Remote Terminal Units (RTU), further enhancing your technical capabilities.Your expertise in Industrial Cyber Security, particularly if you hold IEC62443 certification, distinguishes you in the field. You have demonstrated high-level competency in GE iFIX and/or Geo SCADA, which is highly preferred. Additionally, your background in the oil and gas or Coal Seam Gas (CSG) industries is highly regarded, adding to your well-rounded profile.You thrive in team settings, demonstrating flexibility and a self-driven approach to continuous learning.
