Operations/General Manager - Maintenance & Fitout Projects

Established Residential & Commercial builder is opening up a Maintenance & Small Projects division & is looking for a GUN to manage operations

Our client is a well established commercial & luxury residential builder based in Melbourne's Inner suburbs. They have been in operation for over 10 years delivering projects up to $10M in value. They are very strong financially having successfully navigated and ongoing market uncertainty, so are one of the few builders that are looking to grow over the next 12 - 24 months.
Within these growth plans, exists a desire to open up a new maintenance, fitout & small projects division, so we are looking to secure the services of an individual capable of heading up this new entity.
The Director is incredibly well networked, so already has a solid pipeline of projects across both the residential & commercial sectors. He just doesn't have the time to manage them, as he's so busy with the other arm of the business. This is where the General/Operations Manager comes in!
We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in the residential, maintenance, insurance or small projects/fitout commercial sectors. Someone with a well-rounded technical skill set capable of end-to-end management of a project (pricing/tendering it, procuring the trades and then managing delivery). We also need someone really comfortable in a client-facing role as this will be central to the position.
It's important to highlight that, initially, this will be a hands-on management position. Over time, as the business grows, it will grow into a senior/general management role with overall P & L responsibility for the business.
As this is essentially a start-up, we are looking for someone who exudes energy and enthusiasm, someone who loves the challenge of building something from the ground up. You will be trade or tertiary qualified with extensive Industry experience.
In return, you will be rewarded with a generous salary package ($170,000 - $230,000 total package) including a vehicle with potential profit and/or equity ownership over time.
