About the Role:
Join the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) in the Flinders Eye Centre Clinic. The eye clinic offers public and private services for outpatients with a wide range of eye conditions.
As the casual Ophthalmic Photographer, you will be responsible for the provision of a specialised clinical imaging service, for the purpose of the diagnosis and documentation of human eye disorders. You will contribute to enabling more accurate clinical assessment, and support preventative medicine and research programs for those in the community at risk of developing blinding disorders.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have
- knowledge of photographic principles and lighting
- experience working in a healthcare environment
- excellent people skills
- the ability to learn new technical skills
Desirable attributes:
- member of the Australian Institute of Medical & Biological Illustration (AIMBI)
- knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, eye anatomy and physiology, and eye disease
- understanding of specialised ophthalmic photography techniques such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), retinal photography, retinal angiography and slitlamp photography.
