Oral Health Therapist /Dental Hygienist Opportunity

Be part of our long standing and successful Dental practice in Menai Metro providing quality hygiene treatment for adults and children. The position would be working directly with the Practice Principal and a supportive confident team within our established preventative care program.

Days of work required: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.

About You

You are a registered Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist, with a professional and friendly manner who enjoys interacting with patients and has an ability to put them at ease. Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, you take pride in contributing to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exemplary patient care.

Communication and building relationships by:

• Understanding and executing treatment plans and correctly interpreting the aims and objectives;
• Providing clinical feedback and monitoring patient response;
• Demonstrating a high care factor regarding patient comfort and anxiety;
• Promoting comprehensive dentistry and active maintenance.

Clinical Record keeping:

• Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
• Ensuring records are accurate, complete and up to date with Practice requirements.
• Ensuring checks on equipment and instruments are performed according to Practice and Health and Safety standards;
• Ensuring compliance with OH&S guidelines.

The Ideal person will have:

• A current registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in private practice
• Excellent relationship building skills and be team orientated;
• A strong focus on customer service
• The ability to handle pressure and being a positive role model for all team members.
