Location - Blackburn

looking for a Part-time Oral Health Therapist / Hygienist for 3-4 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday with the opportunity to work full-time in the near future.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Provide assistance with orthodontic patient care, under the guidance of the principal Orthodontist, including:
  1. Removal of orthodontic appliances and placement of bonded retainers.
  2. Impressions for orthodontic retainers/ study models.
  3. Manage orthodontic emergencies like broken/ loose brackets, and adjusting orthodontic archwires.
  4. Taking pre and post-orthodontic patient photographs and records.
  5. Provide orthodontic care to ongoing orthodontic patients including education on dental health,  orthodontic maintenance plaque control, oral hygiene
  6. Taking intraoral digital scans
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records

Requirements Skills and experience

The ideal candidate must have:

• Private dental practice experience
• Must have 1 year of experience working as an independent or part of a big team of dental therapists. 
• Should be a team player, passionate, professional, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
• Current registration with AHPRA, Professional Indemnity Insurance, and Current Victorian Radiation License
• Mandarin-speaking advantageous
•  Recent  2023/24 graduates will also be considered.
