The Role

The Order Management Specialist has the responsibility to manage customer orders on a daily basis and is the key link in communication with our customers for order questions and works closely with our Warehouse and our Business Units to ensure that every order is processed correctly and timely.
  • Enter and process incoming orders - EDI, web portal based, e-mail
  • Follow Vendor Bid process
  • Take calls, answer emails and process requests during stated Work Hours
  • Resolve any issues and/or escalate to the Manager
  • Take all reasonably practicable steps to maintain the health and safety of yourself and others, and to minimise risks
  • Follow Dicker Data's policies, procedures and reasonable instructions at all times

The Right Person Will
  • Strong initiative and enthusiasm, with willingness and aptitude to learn new procedures and product information
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise work, to meet with company and customer expectations.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate MS Office literacy and ERP applications
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of administration procedures (e.g. ordering, receipting, invoicing, returns and payments)
  • Ability to work as a team
