Key Responsibilities:
Order Packing and Shipping:
- Accurately pick and pack online orders for shipping, ensuring all items are correctly selected and securely packaged.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for outgoing packages.
- Ensure all packages meet shipping standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely dispatch and delivery.
Stockroom Management:
- Organize and maintain the stockroom to ensure items are easily accessible and properly stored.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Assist in restocking shelves and keeping track of inventory movements.
Inventory Control:
- Participate in regular stocktakes to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Implement effective labeling and barcoding of items to facilitate easy tracking and organization.
Operational Efficiency:
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Identify and report any issues or discrepancies with orders to management promptly.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail is essential for accurately packing orders and managing stockroom organization.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to keep the packing and stock areas tidy and efficient.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting items up to 20kg.
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability: Consistent and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in a similar packing or stockroom role is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Basic technical proficiency, with experience using inventory management and labeling systems.
- Permanent full-time position with a 3-month probation period. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with a bi-weekly pay cycle.
