The Role: 

Full Time, Fixed Term (12 months) position. 

Remunerated in line with the Victorian Public Health Sector Nurses and Midwives EBA - Clinical Nurse Consultant C Year 1.

The Orthopaedic Surgical Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and organised functioning of supervised Orthopaedic surgeries. Reporting to the Theatre Nurse Unit Manager, this position involves close collaboration with Orthopaedic Surgeon(s) within the Theatre Department. The Orthopaedic Surgical Coordinator works closely with the surgical team, patients, and other healthcare professionals, overseeing and ensuring the seamless execution of surgical practices. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Extensive clinical skills and experience in the operating theatre environment, including orthopaedic surgery
  • Demonstrated leadership, management and decision-making skills
  • Proven highly developed clinical, planning and change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to positively lead and problem solve in a constructive, cooperative, supporting and motivating manner
