Job description

An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Orthopaedic Technician to join the Operational Services Team at the Bundabeg Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:

  • To support the efficient functioning of Orthopaedic, Emergency, Operating Suite, Physiotherapy and other areas by providing a comprehensive cast technician service that includes a range of activities, which facilitate the provision of Orthopaedic Services. The role involves working across a range of units within the hospital and involves teamwork and utilisation of specialised clinical and technical skills related to delivery of a cast technician service.

Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( https://tinyurl.com/yc6pgyt2 )(VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $90,110 p.a., comprising salary between $73,861 - $78,977 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
