Job Summary:
The OSHC Coordinator will be responsible for the effective coordination and management of the day-to-day operation of Thrive's Newstead Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program. This includes ensuring that the program meets the individual needs of all children, abides by and operates within the National Quality Standard and Thrive's Policies and Procedures, and provides families with information and feedback about their children's development. The Coordinator will also support staff by identifying training needs, acting as a positive role model for both staff and volunteers, and undertaking administrative and financial tasks.

6. Knowledge of National Quality Standard: Familiarity with the requirements outlined in the National Quality Standard for outside school hours care programs.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate day-to-day operations of Thrive's Newstead OSHC program in accordance with relevant policies/procedures.
2. Develop a child-focused program that caters to individual needs while promoting learning opportunities.
3. Ensure compliance with National Quality Standard guidelines in all aspects of program delivery.
4. Provide regular feedback to families regarding their children's development progress within the OSHC programs.
5. Identify training needs among staff members/volunteers; provide guidance/support as necessary; act as a positive role model for them.
6 Undertake administrative tasks such as record-keeping/documentation related to enrolments/attendance/finance/etc., ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
7. Work with the OSHC Support Officer (School Based Service leader) to coordinate shared staff and collaborate across services
8. Collaborate with other team members to enhance program quality and effectiveness.
9. Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders, including parents, school personnel, and external agencies.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant qualifications in Education and Care, or a related field.
2. Experience working in an outside school hours care setting or similar role preferred.
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing outside school hours care programs (e.g., National Quality Framework).
4. First Aid/CPR certification is desirable, position cannot be started until this is obtained.
