A service based in Gladstone Park is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 29.25 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!

Hours will be Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 02:45 - 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 3 additional admin hours. There may also be some mornings, training sessions and other emergency shifts.

In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $500 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

About the role

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

Based in Gladstone Park, this new service would see you embedded in a positive and warm school community. You'll get to know the supportive families who have grown along with the program. The service is run out of a shared space with kitchen amenities.

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

  • Enjoy working with kids
  • Strong and clear communication and rapport building skills with families and school stakeholders
  • Consistency and a plan to grow with the service long term
  • Behavior management skills
  • Great at managing a team and developing your staff's strengths
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
  • Australian work rights
  • Preferably Diploma qualified
